The National Center of Expertise Presented a Digital Project on Biological Safety at AI Science Hackathon 2025

On October 20–21, Astana IT University hosted AI Science Hackathon 2025, one of the key events in the field of artificial intelligence, bringing together scientists, engineers, and experts in digital technologies, science, and innovation.

Among the active participants was the National Center of Expertise, which not only supported the organization of the event but also presented its own development — a project titled “Development of an Interactive Educational Service for Internal Assessment and Forecasting of Biological Risks in Microbiological Laboratories.”

The project aims to create a modern digital platform that enables automated, objective, and reproducible assessment of biological risks in laboratory practice. Its goal is to minimize the influence of subjective factors, enhance analytical transparency, and ensure consistency in approaches to biorisk management in laboratory environments.

The presented project represents an important step toward the implementation of advanced digital solutions in the field of sanitary and epidemiological control and biological safety. The participation of NCE specialists in AI Science Hackathon 2025 highlights the Center’s strategic focus on innovation, digital transformation, and the development of practice-oriented technologies in healthcare and scientific research.
